Welcome to EGA,
In Spring 2011, the Ethnic Group Academy (EGA) launched its journey to provide refugee children with extra-curricular education in the DFW area, TX. We believe that all children are precious in God’s eyes, and they are born with God-given talents. Harsh environments and circumstances may hinder the children from discovering their full potentials. We at EGA have encouraged the children to find their hidden talents and develop their abilities. Children have the right to learn to find hopes, dreams, and future through their discovered skills in music, sports, arts, and other potentials. Before the pandemic, over 100 students were used to enroll in EGA each semester and join classes for two hours each Saturday. Volunteers who lead the class with dedication and effort have created an unparalleled learning environment for students. In education, many volunteers participated in the heart of prayer, faith, and cause to bring an outstanding commitment to helping these children discover and reach their full potential in life. Change is possible as we believe that God has provided a purpose for each individual. The refugee children with just the right push and direction could develop into leaders that can change many lives, the community, the cities, the nation, and even the world. Our dreams are simple but yet grand in its mission. First, we dream that EGA students from all countries may discover their God-given talents and be the people God created them to be. Second, we pray that the EGA students would one day bring a positive transformation to many lives, the community, the cities, the nation, and even the world. Please join us on our journey to make our dreams into reality. Our goals are not only ours, but it can be yours as well. God bless, Jongsu Heo, Chairman of EGA |
